Well, Pokemon are stored as data, so why would their game systems use virtual Pokemon instead of real ones? I mean you can catch anything and it will immediately transfer to the PC box storage system from wherever you are, so you obviously don't need to trade face to face. Maybe the in-game 3DSs are used for convenience.

It really does have a Rockium Z. When you take it off, it just disappears like when you remove any other Z-crystal.

No idea what happens if you cheat and trade for it before acquiring the actual Rockium, though.

Well, this one's got basically no risk anyways - haunter is common as shit in the abandoned megamart, catching a spare should be easy as fuck.
If you SERIOUSLY disbelieve us saying that no, it's not an ingame scam this time, all you've lost is the ball the haunter came in and maybe three minutes. And have a graveler for your dex if you don't. And since we're not lying, you'll have a golem as well, and a second Rockinum Z.
