Has anybody investigated the probability of critical capture in Sun and Moon? I know in previous generations that the probability apparently raised in discrete intervals up until you registered over 600 in the pokedex. Now conventional wisdom suggests the same has carried over to Sun and Moon, except for the fact you apparently can't "register" over 300 in Sun and Moon, despite the fact you are able to get non regional pokemon like Greninja and island scans. Additionally, based on my own anecdotal experience, I might be willing to wager that the critical capture likelihood in SM may increase linearly (or otherwise) based on the number of pokemon registered. However, a more likely explanation is that the discrete intervals (150 pokemon registered) were narrowed to fit the smaller pokedex.
