After beating the elite 4, I can say this game tops black/white 2 barely. One thing that I found was nice were the removal of HM'S.

Tiny detail but I liked how the route markers were designed after the actual US interstate highway shields. Also, the number of routes on Melemele island match the number of interstate highways on O'ahu island in real life, too.
