So, how's that Pokédex Completion going, my dudes?
I just achieved this a couple hours ago after breeding a whole fucking bunch.
GTS helped me more than you can imagine, thank god for that feature.
And not only that, i also have a 100% done living dex, thanks to giveaways here on this board.
Now I'm not sure what to do next. Guess I'm gonna go after the Island Scan Pokémon or something.

I have all the trade evos already, which is good. The only exclusive I'm missing is Celesteela. I fucking hate how you have to wait 24 hours for RNG to MAYBE bless you with evo stones in pelago though, I used my only Dusk Stone on Misdreavus and still need one for Murkrow.

I already have a completed living dex from gen 6 (although I haven't transferred them over yet). I've caught all the new Pokemon I can now (aside from Necrozma), I just need to evolve/breed the ones I have now and trade for the exclusives.

i finished Melemele. 80% dex completion overall but i'm just going an island at a time.
Fuck rufflet and vullaby for appearing so low-leveled and needing to grind them painfully to evolve. they took the longest, by far.

GTS works better when you do the requesting.
I put up a Feebas with a Prism Scale and some guy sent me a level 90 Lunala within 10 minutes.
Prism Scale Feebas is so easy to hook stuff with. I have boxes full of the Feebas, but grinding for scales is a bit of a chore.

Went from 48% to 72% in a single weekend, then lost steam a bit, still sitting at 73%.

But really, this generation's Pokedex is far too easy to 100%. It took months for me to complete a gold crown/all Kalos native 100% dex in X, and I'll have a 100% gold crown in Sun by the end of next week.

Already done, in retrospect it was pretty easy. The GTS is a huge lifesaver for some of the annoying trade evos.

I get a critical capture every five attempts or so now. It's fun. Makes capturing Pokemon for the global mission even easier.

I don't even really care about shinys. I just want to have a full dex, and like the feeling of accomplishment when it's all done. That's really what I do for post-game, since I barely touch the competitive side since Gen 4.

The competitive side is officially dead in gen 7.

Everyone moved to Showdown. Trust me, I tried finding a competitive scene on the cart, but it just doesn't exist outside Battle Spot singles and VGC. I miss gen 4.

Simulators really gained popularity during Gen 5, and I never liked the experience compared to actually playing in-game. Not sure why that is, it just doesn't feel the same even though it technically is I guess. We even had Shoddy during Gen 4, if anyone remembers that.

If you beat the game you can go back the the Aether Paradise and battle that old guy again, with the big green eye masks.
I think he's on the north side of the entrance level by the door. He'll give you a dubious disc so if you have a friend you can trade with them for the pokemon.

64%. Caught one member from each evo family, then went to catch the Tapu. Just finished that up now, haven't even started the Ultra Beasts quest, so I am missing Type:Null and all the other legendaries that come along with that.

Evolvable legendaries in this game are killing my Living Dex hopes. Gonna have to buy Sun and get Solgaleo there, evolve the bonus Cosmog from that game into a Cosmoem and leave my Moon Cosmog as a Cosmog. Also gotta get a Null from Sun for when I get Silvally in Moon. This sucks. At least I'll get another shot at a Tapu Koko with a good nature/ball, and extra Apricorn balls.

You can't control what items pokemon you get traded have. For instance, if you want a Milotic and ask for a Feebas, you can only hope whoever gives you a Feebas is a bro and gives it a Prism Scale.

Finally did it this morning, mass bred happiny and got pretty much everything from it, from shitmons to UBs to Tapus to legends. Worst ones were definitely Porygon2, Z and weavile. Especially weavile, fuck getting that. Oh well, it's done now.

So what does the shiny charm affect? Just random pokemon you find in the wild, or do sos chained pkm also get affected? What about MM eggs? Only asking because I seem remember in xy and oras friend safari and dexnav were locked at 1 in 512 I think and the charm had no effect on it

You can just get one item trade evo and exchange it for others. Magmortar, electrivire, milotic, slowking and politoed are easily tradeable with each other. Weavile and scizor are a bit difficult but can also be done. The porygon line however is a special case of hell.

Unless of course you were aiming for a living dex, in which case disregard what I just said.
