The event started on the 29th and it's the 2nd today. So that's like, what, a little more than 1 million a day I guess.

I don't think it's entirely impossible, the issue is a lot of kids who are doing a bunch of ingame catching don't know how to sign up for the PGL to make their catches count. Anyone who actually does take the time to register is probably just doing it so they don't need to do it for Ranked Battle Spot, and thus are more than likely breeding or some other thing.

That number is also astronomically high, unless some hacker is willing to sacrifice his player ID and have his account send the difference in caught Pokemon, there's no real hope of completing this as it stands.

The weird thing is that the plaza actually gets worse once you connect to the internet. I played for a while offline, and there were usually like 4-5 NPCs waiting to give me 4-8 FC for every interaction. Now there's like 15-20 Japs, most of which either give me no FC or only 1-4. Why is this a thing?

Fuck the Pokedex and online functionality in SM. Honestly it's my only complaint. Miss being able to see my party while hatching eggs in Super Training too haha.

This. By the time the event started I had already caught 90 pokemon and right now I'm enjoying the post-game, I've only caught 12 more since it started (Even tough I've bred around 40)

I did a lot of catching already, like maybe 50 on the 29th and 30th. The thing is that I thought I was automatically a part of it already, and I only have like 4 catches right now for it because it doesn't count until you sign up for it.

The number I can see being possible, maybe, if it counted anyone who ever connected to wifi with or without a sync ID, but now I think the number is just there to test the waters.

Maybe next time, they won't put a limit on how many you can catch (I'm assuming the max is 999 per participant since the number doesn't increase and the support page of the gts didn't bother to give me an answer) and then it would be doable.

If half of the users have opt into the challenge then 3,550,000 users have to catch 2 Pokemon a day, roughly
