I've always been interested but never participated.

What types do people usually play? Is there a good spread? Does any type get over- or under-played?

Typically, a winner is chosen from every type and these winners fight for a top eight. Because each type has a rep in the second stage, there's usually a good spread.

I'm just not sure, since I remember people only being able to inject with 3DSs with older firmware a little later into ORAS injection. It might've changed, but I'm not sure.

Electric type usually only has a few despite its popularity, since it's not the easiest type to run even at the best of times.

I'll be running electric this season and the next after bank release. It's been a while since I ran electric and my Ampharos needs to stretch its legs ready for post-bank next year
