I really didn't want to be playing the latest Pokemon generation. But somebody insisted on getting it for me as my birthday present, and there really isn't anything better to do with my 3DS, given how my only other games for it are the worst Fire Emblem games in existence.

So just lay it on me: How badly does Pokemon Sun/Moon compare to the rest of the franchise? I've played Blue, Crystal, Emerald, FireRed, Pearl, Platinum, Black, Black 2, and X, as well as XD, Mystery Dungeons Blue and Darkness, and Pokemon Ranger 2.
