Corsola is a prey species that evolved to regen its branches due to a predator
we now have the predator
but some piranha do this as well,
they live in shoals and attack their fellow fish, they eat tails and scales. Never enough to permanently damage but small pieces at a time,
they could have made this the dex entry

I think it's implied that Toxapex eats the whole Corsola though. But that would likely just be because it's bigger and the branches don't fill it as much, which could be solved by having a ton of Corsola and feeding the shed and broken branches

I looked it up and theres some "zoanthid corals" that can be somewhat toxic. Make it Poison Rock or Poison Grass with Corrosion and it can be like a type of Corsola that developed a Toxin powerful enough to poison Mareanie and Toxapex as a self defense.
