It feels like almost every character has at least some personality.
> Lana seems like a standard shy loli on the surface, but is actually a closet pervert, and a troll
> Kiawe seems like a serious guy at first, but his trials ends up being one of the funniest ones out there
> Olivia seems generic at first, but turns out to be a 30 year old virgin desperately trying to get a man before menopause kicks in
> Nanu is a cynical old man, who barely cares about anything he does (you only find out he's the kahuna because he casually tells you before his battle)

Can you tell me Koga's personality? Winona's? Lorelei's? Ramos's? This game has more memorable characters than any mainline game before it; that is undeniable.
