Was there really the need for this useless mix between Swampert and Toxicroac?

This Pokémon legitimately makes me angry, no originality. Even the moveset and the stats are a mashup of Swampert's and Toxicroac's (and some Poliwrath's, too). Just why.

I thought it was a garbage design until it was revealed to use the shell like a weapon and had evolutions that expanded the warrior motif. Now I find it pretty cool for a first starter stage.

Its shape is damn near identical to a real triggerfish.
Bruxish is one of those Pokémon that's ugly without being poorly designed, like Garbodor. It's definitely better than shit like >>30494973 and >>30498386, which are just horrible messes.

Magmar is or was at least very popular because of how badass it was when it first appeared on the anime 18 years ago. I've never met anyone who was into pokemon back then that dislikes it. Magmortar on the other hand was a failure of an evolution.

Of the gen 4 evos, Yanmega, Porygon-Z, Honchkrow and Weavile are the only good ones. Mismagus, Mamoswine, Gliscor and Tangrowth are okay, I guess, although I still like their NFE forms more. The rest are just trash.

I don't like Luchalitten's colors at all, the red is too flashy and the grey is awful, its face is weird, it looks like a cereal mascot, wrestling is one of mankind's worst inventions, the arms and legs are way too thin, the arms are too long and the legs too short, and sausage fingers
also shooting fire from its belt, as clever as that seems it's just terribly ugly

You can't get any more generic and boring than that. Look at Pokemon like Mienshao, Medicham, Pangoro, Hawlucha, and so on, for examples of well-designed fighting types.

Anyway I think Throh and Sawk are alright mainly because they seem like pokemon reps of this guy. Humanoid fighter with a rocky exterior.
