Are there even any trade evolutions that have any alternate method of evolution? I think Milotic evolves with a certain item, but I don't remember if it's a "trade holding this item" deal or not.

Trade evo is just a terrible mechanic that should be updated, if anything it incentivates not to trade

No. Feebas is the only pokemon with two different methods for the same evolution. And it's kind of weird since prism scale as introduced for two gens because beauty stoppd being a thing, but didnt get rid of the method and on ORAS both are still possible
