Primal Kyogre and Groudon seem like they came from Ultra Space before "settling" in the human world and they were responsible for catastrophes that cost human lives in history kind of like Ultra Beasts probably have without being properly contained.
Then there's Pokemon like Clefairy, Jigglypuff and Elgyem who have connections with outer space aside from the obvious ones (Deoxys, Rayquaza who can breathe in space and has a diet of tasty meteors).
I don't think the series will properly touch base on this stuff, just leave some hanging threads to the imagination while they focus on world-building and maybe characterizing trainers like Alola did in the future.
