ITT: we discuss ideas as concepts for Pokémon using all the unused Type combinations as of Gen 7 (not considering order).

That's not even including the countless cool combinations that are exclusive to Legendaries or Ultra Beasts, such as Dark/Psychic, Dragon/Ghost, Steel/Fighting, Rock/Poison, etc.

The pillbug idea is similar to what I was thinking for Bug/Ice, I imagine it to be heavily shielded by it's icy shell, maybe some icicle fangs if you want to get inventive

Wait...

Is it a frog or the princess?

Wouldn't the frog want to convince someone to kiss him?

Would be a cool 100% male fairy evolution to have it be a frog poison / fairy then when it gets hit with a kiss move, it form changes... OR it can just evolve, but it increases the power of a pokemon's kiss moves in double battles.

You could make a make and female version of like Pokemon where the female is sleepy and wakes up from being kissed. She can have higher defenses and be slow where the make can have higher attack and be faster.

Just because a Pokemon is based on a fairy tale or story doesn't mean it has to be exactly like that story. Gyrados should be a dragon if you go exactly by the legend but it's not.

While there's some great ideas for poison pokemon in here, especially some of the steel and ice types, its a shame that the latest pokemon games seem to be leaning more and more towards environmentally friendly stuff and recycling.

If the series keeps up with being so green there's barely going to be any excuses for a lot of these pokemon to even have a chance to exist. Even in Sun and Moon, pokemon like garbodor are prey to the alolan grimer and muk looking for trash to eat. The pokemon themselves are evolving to be eco-friendly.

Everything has to die and decay eventually. Poison type won't die out, it'll just become part of the life cycle in the Pokémon universe.
Besides, there's more interesting stuff to be done with poison type than just piles of living sludge. There's a whole world of crazy venomous shit waiting for Game Freak's take on it.

That's true, but, I'd honestly be interested in seeing areas of pokemon game that aren't just happy green sanctuaries of nature. Places where mankind got out of control and pollution ran rampant and the area is still trying to recover, even as pokemon evolve to suit the more dangerous habitat. The closest we got to that was the sunken ship in Gen 3 if I recall, maybe the cinnabar mansion too in gen 1.
