>X/Y
>Largest amount of pokemon you can encounter and catch ingame of any Pokemon game ever
>Sun/Moon
>Usually only 1 unique pokemon per zone, while the rest is just Yungoos/Gumshoos during day or Rattata/Raticate at night, Wingull/Pelipper, and other generic Pokemon you can find in like 20 different routes throughout the entire game
Why did Game Freak do this?
What is wrong with putting as many Pokemon into the game as possible, unless it leads to a situation where the chance of encountering the Pokemon you want in a patch of grass is 5% for each? Especially now that Game Freak has made it so different patches of grass in the same area can have different kinds of Pokemon.
It just doesn't make sense. Is it just becuase they want people to buy Poke Bank?
I mean, come on, the entire game has like 250 Pokemon
