Music: 5/10 (Some amazing tracks, but almost all of the overworld music is trash, close to no remasters too despite all of the cameo appearances)

New Mons: 7/10

Overall enjoyment: 8/10

I went in with low expectations, but it was actually a lot better than x and y.
A ton of people at my college also play so we're still getting a lot of enjoyment out of the games

Removed some of the best features of last generation, didn't really add many noticeably good features aside from the IV Judge PC feature. The trials were pretty shit for the most part and the abundance of cutscenes (while not too bad on the first playthrough) will more than likely be a pain on subsequent playthroughs. The railroading is also probably the worst in the series. It is at least more challenging than XY.

Story: 5/10
Nothing special, although I didn't expect much from a Pokemon game. It had the same issue as XY where it just shovels all the story on to you about 75% of the way through the game.

Characters: 7/10
Some of the characters were alright, they were a lot better than XY's shitfest of a cast. Lusamine's motives were pretty stupid and Lillie accomplished pretty much nothing except running across a bridge.

Music: 7/10
Decent soundtrack overall, although that's true for pretty much any Pokemon game. The route themes were lacking although some of the battle themes were great.

New Pokemon: 7/10
Decent for the most part. I don't really like the Ultra Beast designs and think they look completely out of place although I guess they're supposed to look like that. It's a shame that most of them are slow as shit. This wouldn't usually be an issue but they decided to fill every cave with Golbat and Dugtrio so you can never escape when you want to.

Gameplay: 5.5/10 (Not the best, but certainly not as bad as XY. Mechanics-wise, they took a step forward, but five steps backwards. I am still not familiar with the towns and cities despite being relatively smaller than those of previous games')

Story: 7/10 (Contrary to what most believe, I found the story very interesting as it was different from the previous games we've had)

Characters: 7/10 (They gave us so many fleshed out characters. They were so engaged to the story)

Music: 7.5/10 (Great battle themes. Underwhelming towns/cities themes).

New Mons: 6.5/10 (Could be better)

Overall enjoyment: 7.5/10 (It was nice, muh post-game tho)
