Anyways, I really want them to change it up and be a Platinum remake, not a DP remake. Why? We got RS remakes and not Emerald remakes, which meant watered down Gym Leader teams, no rematches for the Gym Leaders, no Battle Frontier, that sort of thing. In HGSS the remakes were fine because Crystal's changes were mostly just "alright let's be Suicune focused" so they were able to throw that in while adapting most of GS.
If we get a Platinum remake, then we get Giratina as the focus (which can then be tied into the story of it possibly being an Ultra Beast, or if you want to go the ORAS route, it could be given a Primal Reversion). Galactic has more of a focus on their goals. The Sinnoh Dex will actually be good. We get a postgame plot with Charon and Looker.
If we get a DP remake... Infernape and Rapidash are your only Fire types. The Sinnoh Dex will be terrible. The Gym Leaders and E4 might have a more varied team (ironically due to a lack of variety in the Dex) which could be interesting, but at the cost of you not having much access yourself. And you want to know why we're getting a DP remake instead? One, that gives them two different versions for people to buy. Two, a Platinum remake is a GOOD idea, so they WON'T do it. And three, Platinum offers more Pokemon to follow you in Hearthome City. Surely that's too much work!
