I get to travel literaly anywhere I want as long as my pokemon are healthy and strong enough, do something fun that I can be passionate about for a living, see new places, meet new people and go on amazing adventures while beating up a kid or two on the side for lunch money

Being a trial captain doesn't sound that great but trainer life is fucking top notch

Ive been a trainer for years, I just decided to travel to the alola region in order to meet new pokemon and redfine myself as a trainer. My past championship status allowed me to pull some strings in order to take on the trials as a 21 year old. Once I become champion here I finally decide to settle down as an Ice type champion. And then spend the rest of my days with my loving wife Acerola and our 2 kids.

Alola in particular has a trial for 11 year olds where the captains are close to them in age. Trainers and gym leaders, on the other hand, come in many ages and backgrounds. We have leaders as old as Pryce and Blaine and as young as Bugsy and Clemont.

Point being, yes, there's a cutesy coming-of-age trial in Alola where they enlist captains that are young enough to sort of be a role model for trial-goers, but that has no reflection on who is a trainer.

I know this is a bait thread anyway, but come on, step it up senpai.

I used to be like you, then one day I woke up and everyone started calling me sir/mister/guy/man instead of kid/son/boy, young girls stopped thinking I was cute, nobody except me thought it was weird that 35+ year olds were interested in me and in general everyone treats me like I know what I'm doing instead of telling me what to do. I am a trainer.

We are all trainers here, and I will be damned if anyone says differently. I can't speak for everyone, but I have been playing Pokémon for 20 years now, and it has been a fun ride. As a child, I played to enjoy a new world. As a teenager, I played to win. As a young adult, I played to collect. And now I play another generation, looking back at all of the Pokémon I have raised, caught, and traveled with. Hell, I still have my old pal Scizor from Ruby waiting to travel to this new region. I won't stop playing Pokémon until I die.

I am a trainer, and I will never not be a trainer.

Most trainers quit the whole pokemon shit in their early 20s' and get jobs. Only really good trainers can be professional pokemon masters into adulthood.

In fact I bet all of the loser kids who never win have to get jobs to pay off their loss debts because whenever you win you get their money.

I think it more of a hobby than actual training. Most of those pokemon seem to fix with the job those trainers are doing.
