>>30551376I've had Pokken since it was released. It's a good game; a lot of depth to the characters and a hell of a lot of stuff to unlock. A lot of mechanics are very arcade-y so that's a fun element considering how few games retain those sort of roots.
However, it's true when people say that its biggest issue is its lack of characters. It really just needs more. Like, ten more would be enough. I'm champing at the bit for these DLC characters, especially because Scizor is my favourite. I'm glad they didn't put only Pokemon with Megas in, or only Z-Moves; it's nice that the tournament in-world has its own mechanics and that helps set it apart from just being "a gen 6 game".
If you've got people to play it with, for sure get it; otherwise it's not so great. Like most fighting games it gets boring fast if you're just fighting either ridiculously stupid AI or frame-perfect cheating AI.
