This game is a lot more challenging than X/Y. Probably one of the hardest Pokémon I've ever played. Not that that's saying much, since the game was always easy.

It's challenging if you turn off the Exp. Share and don't use broken stuff like the demo Greninja. Sadly most people don't do that and complain about how easy the game is.

Unless I'm remembering this wrong, I think all prior Pokemon gens have Game Freak name or logo being featured somewhere during beginning of the game, beside XY and ORAS. But somehow the GF featuring routine revived in SM during prologue cutscene. Really makes you think if GF was ashame of producing Gen 6 but are now confident enough that they can redeem themselves with Gen 7, in term of receptions and sales.

It doesn't matter what you and I think though, my little sister and plenty of her little friends bought and beat the game before I did, and that's what matters. They'll shape it around what the next generation of kids wants, and that's good. Kids should be the ones having fun, not jaded 20-something year old losers like me.

Nothing any individual does is going to affect Game Freak's money train. That doesn't mean people can't think Pokémon is dying artistically (as opposed to financially, it clearly isn't). Spongebob is alive and well from a financial standpoint but is gutter trash artistically.

That being said SM is at least better than XYORAS. It's a two-steps-forward-one-step-back kind of better, but that's still a net step forward.

It's really not. I have the exp share off, battle style SET, no healing items and no greninja or legendaries, and I have only lost two battles (totem wishiwashi and totem lurantis). I am about to do Acerola's trial.

I mean it's definitely tougher than XY, but to call it genuinely challenging is a bit of a stretch.

exp share doesn't make the game easier or harder. it doesn't make your over leveled starter lead more powerful, and because shitters like you have an over leveled lead, doesn't help the rest of the team that much.
