Welcome to the /vp/ Monotype Threads!
Here we hold a Monotype tournament where you compete to be a gym leader and represent your favourite type in Pokemon Sun and Moon!
We are in the early stages of development for the upcoming tournament that will be held into the new year, starting on the 7th of January.
Rules and format are open to discussion at this point but the general rule set is 3v3 best 2 out of 3 using flat rules. More specifics can be found here:

Is the goal here to get the tournament over with before college students have to go back? If logistics are the main concern, I understand.
If not, what's a couple extra weeks? Everyone will have better teams. The Alola Dex isn't as good as the Kalos Dex, imo. 2013 worked so well because we had fucktons of variety already.

I won't pretend like I've scoured the entire Alola Dex and done all the damage calcs to see what we have that can shit on Aegislash, but I guarantee you some types will have no problem with it.
Where you might actually be onto something though, is that too few types might not have a good answer for it.
Bring back some data and facts. Aegislash is fine in 3vs3 if we take Bank into account, so prove that it's busted without Bank.
