What I don't get is why some cries like budew's are the same if not louder, which sounds great, but others get fucked like trapinch, who doesn't even sound like he has a cry because it's so fucking quiet and short.

Espeon had a really good cry for something that was made in Gen II. One of my favorite parts of Colosseum was hearing "mmm-kee-boo" fuck me it's really hard to express with type every time I sent it out. But now it sounds like it has a sore throat near the end of it.

I notice a lot of the cries sort of "trail off" near the end, makes them a lot less threatening or even battle ready. They sound like they got cold feet in the middle and don't wanna fight anymore.

God knows. To make matters worse, it just sounds like they muffled them/amplified them to the point where they start to become white noise. Makes all the cries sound very homogenous, I wonder if that's what they wanted.
