Is Lurantis good for anything? I really want to use one, but it looks like it's outclassed by other pokemon in every possible way.

I used one and it was fairly ok in game but Tsareena is a lot better and more fun to use.

The only Pokemon in this gen that have any genuine competitive value are Toxapex, Pheromosa, Celesteela, Oranguru (in doubles), Xurkitree, and the Tapus. A-Marowak is fulfilling a niche in VGC but it'll eventually get displaced.

Everything else ranges from mediocre to utter shit.

Wasted potential: the Pokemon.

I don't think I've ever been so salty about Gamefreak completely botching a Pokemon before Lurantis.
