This game fixed the fucked trainer proportions from gen 6, but didn't bother scaling the Pokemon. That's why so many Pokemon are dwarfed by the trainers in battles. That includes legends that should be massive like Giratina.

I always thought that a really huge model would make a pokemon look awkward in double battles, and skew the placement of everything around it.

Imagine if Celesteela's model were to scale. She'd have to be moved outward so her arms don't extend into the space of her ally.
