I hate the design but Golem was always a shitmon so anything new is a plus compared to it

Galvanize Explosion at least gives it a similar niche to Meglalie. A shame nothing good gets Galvanize though. So many Physical Electrics would kill for that shit

I'm not a fan of alolan golem.

Like other regional variants kinda make sense, but golem just kinda pulls a new magnatism gimmick out of it's ass and i feel like making a new rock/electric pokemon would have been better.

I'd call Exeggutall an upgrade.
It's no longer weak to Dark-type attacks, and is the ONLY Grass-type with a Sunny Day related ability that isn't weak to Fire-type attacks.

STAB Galvanize Explosion is basically back to its pre-nerf power at 500

he makes a really good literal suicide lead in doubles now since he can crap out some sneaky pebbles and follow it up with a portrayal of modern germany

I prefer Diglett and Dugtrio to that Raticate personally. All of these designs grew on me as I played the game, with the exception of that Raticate.

It's not a beard. Look at its animation. It's torso hair.
