When Gold came out I was convinced Tauros hatched from Miltank eggs, similar to the Nidoran line. Was always a bit disappointed that they didn't, cos they were always sold as counterparts back then.

I know a guy who is convinced that Bouffalant being Tauros's evolution and Alomamola being Luvdisc's evolution is 100% canon and it's just a glitch that they've kept going for six years that they can't evolve.
