What's more efficient: Having them hunt for shards to exchange for regular caps, or hunting for everything witj a chance of finding gold caps?

probably the shards if you ask me, though bottle caps should only be used if you have no other option. such as legendaries or shiny pokemon that are missing a few perfect ivs
