The lag is annoying, but it's the load up and exit out times that kill me. It having to reboot the old 3DS every time, and sometimes taking several minutes to do so, is just intolerable. I'm getting pushed toward buying a N3DS myself because my old 3DS XL is also kind of falling apart, physically. I have a normal sized one a family member essentially loaned to me indefinitely, but I'd like to have my own personal one. But it is hard to justify buying even a $170 refurbished one just because loading Pokemon is kind of annoying and your current 3DS, which still performs just fine, has a crack or two.

I doubt we'll have to wait long for news on if there will be a mainline Pokemon game on the Switch, though. We've often gotten news in the first few months of the year, and holding back on saying they're going to release a main Pokemon on their new console is not something I see Nintendo doing. If there's going to be one, of course.

It's literally the most inconsequential thing-- FPS drops in the, what, ~6 double battles in the main game? Then you never have to touch Double Battles at the Battle Tree.

The only other FPS drops come from Totem Battles or using certain Z-moves, but even then... it's a fucking handheld collecting game. Like who cares honestly
