What's up /vp/, I come here to ask you this, a guy on craigslist is selling a Pokemon Blue cart with supposedly a legit Mew on it.
How do I know if the Mew he has on the cart is legit and not cloned/glitched?

Thanks in advance and sorry if gen 1 stuff is kind of unaccepted, I'm just trying to solve a childhood trauma because my parents never drove me to any event where they distributed Mew.

there's really no way to tell. there weren't any factors like level/area/date met, pokéballs used, etc back then

even if it -was- legit, how could the cart's save have survived over fifteen years (or however long ago those old mew distros were)?

My old R/B/y carts still work fine, the problem were Gold and Silver due to the internal clock, batteries didn't last even 5 years.
