It'll be dumbed down! It's not Platinum-tier difficulty! There aren't enough new pokemon! The pokedex only has entries for the Alola Dex! Lots of cut-scenes! Unorthodox gameplay with trials!
I'm just finished the third island and OMG I LOVE IT. The pokedex is so colourful and fun, I'm just chilling out, taking my time filling the dex. Filling the dex then helps unlock the Poke Pelago stuff, which is fun too.
I enjoy the Festival Plaza too, and Wonder Trade boosted my dex too. GTS for some version exclusive trades. QR Codes to help me find things on the GTS! (but fuck Japanese Wonder Traders, pieces of shit)
I'm just surprised. After XY I was a bit fed up of Pokemon games, and feared the worst. But I've about 40 hours of play sank into a game that has been heaps of fun so far.
Who else felt Sun/Moon has redeemed the series after XY?
