They're only okay design-wise AT BEST, and those ones are unusably bad; the competitive ones are all obnoxiously minmaxed and ugly like Rotom and Thundurus. It's also one of only two types to get TWO special snowflake weather conditions (the other is Grass, who is equally benefitted by and screwed by Sunny Day, and gets Grass Terrain) whereas Electric gets Electric Terrain AND 100% accuracy in Rain with no downside.
