While I'm okay with most everything in this thread, I think a feature everyone agrees should be a thing is being able to select a wild capture target among multiple wild pokemon. Seriously, why hasn't this been a thing? It's been an issue since wild multi battles were introduced in gen 4 and it still hasn't been addressed.

It's not like much designing effort went into the Avenue itself. It's literally just a straight tunnel with random ass shops apparently connected to some ethereal internet wormhole. Just make a fucking mall in one of the big cities or multiple and stick the shops and services in there in a way that isn't taking the piss. Also don't force your players to stop their adventure, killing the pace and interact with this feature. Fuck I remember the asshole npc that makes you the manager of the Avenue, he asks you whether you want to or not, but doesn't let you proceed unless you say yes. Fuck off.

People miss the PSS as a whole. On the plus side, breeding is faster as a whole, and that was the most useful o-power. The exp power would be pretty trash in this game too, since the only level up spot is the ~63 elite 4 trainers.

It was good because it matched you up with people who actually wanted to trade without having to use websites. Nowadays you have to pick a random guest list person to request a trade and cross your fingers hoping that they don't decline. Plus, you could get a lot of good stuff off the negotiations if you knew how to use it to your advantage.

Not because of the concept, but because they translated the Japanese word "shiiru" (stickers) as "seal" because they sound alike.

All trainers had their own unique way of nicknaming their pokemon. In Stadium 1 it changed the colors of them slightly so they looked different. I think there were like 4 different variations of colors each pokemon had.

you can get snow jackets, and long pants, short pants, hoodies, beanies, etc.

it's not GREAT customization but it's much better than their new rendetion of brendan in ORAS

With the advent of PokeFinder and showing off Pokemon models in the overworld (there are several anyway, like the Ride Pokemon in particular), this would've been great to return. Take a selfie with your team (and try to get them all in, which could be difficult with Pokemon like A-Exeggutor) or just take a picture of your team, or have RotomDex set a timer, pose with your Pokemon... and have this be a part of PokeFinder's thumbs up thing so you're not just mindlessly taking pictures of the same Absol over and over. That would have been interesting.

At two points in the game they mention seals to you, first in the Solaceon Ruins where the little girl gives you the case and asks you to collect Unown to get the letter seals, and then in Sunnyshore there's a store where you can buy them.

Hidden grottos were amazing. I loved having an incentive to go everywhere in the world and get some neat rewards for it. That is probably the reason why the Unova map is so much more memorable to me than any other region.

Grottos were shit because of the items. If it was just Pokémon and refreshed faster that would have been cool, otherwise they are shit but I appreciate having hidden spots in the games.
