-ate abilities are ones which end in "-ate" and make normal moves a certain type like Pixilate, Refrigerate, Aerilate. They also buff the move by 30% in Gen VI and were nerfed to 20% in Gen VII

Of course mega garde is still viable, probably even more than before since it can start with 100 base speed instead of 80 in the transformation round.

It was really shitty on the fairies because Moonblast was better. Only good on Salamence and Pinsir because flying STAB is rare.

Hyper voice was stronger and bypassed subs. Aerialate users made out like bandits though since flying types in general have shitty moves.

Well mega Gardes fairy attacks still hit harder and you can do stab fairy hyper beam nuke memes, but you're still kinda right.
Also Gardes hyper voice ignores subs and that's never a bad thing.

Lele is good for nuclear Psychic attacks
Garde is good for nuclear Fairy attacks
They're similar but attack differently.

If Diancite is available though M-Diancie + Tapu Lele would eclipse Gardevoir's usage.
