But very likely yes, the OU Council has already been talking about it, but obviously their primary concerns are with the hounds set loose from Ubers since at least those mons are older and know what to expect from them should they continue to run amok. Tapu Lele still has freshness to it that may be shrouded by some tactic down the road (I doubt it, but it's possible).

We're all ok with pretty circumstantial Pokes' like Blaziken being permanently Uber for the past 3-4 games with barely a revisit...

But every new game / balance update the council rolls out Genesect and the troublesome Genies like we don't all know exactly how insufferable the meta is going to be until they get shafted again.

It's like the thinly veiled attempts to try bring stall back into the dominant position in the meta - why won't they just let that shit die.

The thing is, you never know what moveset it's running. Maybe it wants to deal with Metagross. Or Ferrothorn. Maybe Celesteela. The only Pursuit strong enough to OHKO Lele guaranteed is CB Tyranitar, and that thing isn't all that common nowadays.

You haven't learn anything do you? That's the main reasoning behind smogonfags banning anything they fear. They're assuming certain mons has always optimal set, means like 6 or 8 moves per set. Same with Lele, if you present some counter they'll say it carry certain uncommon move like Thunderbolt, which most Lele won't cary at all, like never.

I have a feeling some people might not be trying hard enough to find checks/counters to Tapu Lele because they just don't want to deal with it and want to make it seem as if it's too busted for OU.

This is a fear I have with any Pokemon that might potentially get banned from a tier in the future.

Eh, Tsareena isn't THAT bad.

Trop Kick is a pretty decent move. Access to Rapid Spin and Hi-Jump Kick is also nice. She'd be a lot better if she was Grass/Fighting though.

Don't want to start a shit-storm so I'll just give you the basics, though it was recent so I thought everyone here would know.

Gen 4 Blaziken was straight-up shit, basically just a slower Infernape with an abysmal move-pool. Then Gen 5 comes along and Blaziken gets Speed Boost as a HA.

A few similar sets gain notoriety as a wall-breaker / cleanup sweeper in OU as it has decent enough coverage and SB allows it to get to ludicrous speed assuming it gets to sit on the field for a while.

This is of course happening during that awful period of post Gen 4 Smogon where the OU council in particular were just starting to come to grips with the fact that their banning philosophy from Gen 4 wasn't going to work anymore and everyone was getting tired of Stall and the fact that many bans were in fact aimed at keeping Stall viable (I'm looking at you Salamence).

Of course regardless, Blaziken gets banned to Ubers and only very shortly pops its head out during the release of Gen 6 before being quick-banned without a suspect test right back.

It didn't take long for everyone to realize how stupid this was as crazy shit like Mega Mom and Mega Gengar were allowed to shit all over the ladders for a while and it took the better part of Infinity for Smogon-sword to eventually get the ban hammer.
