Generally Pokemon that you can only find in specific areas in specific games. No one forgets about Pidgey, Tentacool, fucking Pelipper, Lucario, and all that shit because you see them so often. This can't be true for every Pokemon though because Chansey isn't forgettable, but is hard to catch. Rare =/= forgettable, but neglected by Game Freak = forgettable by the players. How often have you run into Elgyem in the wild?
