While not similar, it sounds like the UBs echo at the end of their cries are the inverted version of the echo at the end of the Mega Pokemon's cries.
On top of which, it is said that Ultra Space is overflowing with energy. Could it be possible that Ultra Space is the origin of Mega Evolution in the Mega Evolution universe?
Furthermore, it seems that UBs really have no interest in humans except destruction and the dex descriptions from this generation revealed that a lot of Megas are just battling machines who can't really control the power gained from Mega Evolution. I don't know, but it seems like UBs and Megas have some sort of connection.
