>>30781916They are confirmed to be happening within the same year, just like 1/3 and 2/4
This isn't hard to understand. This means that from gen 3-4, there was like 7 solid years where not a single pokemon game could possibly have taken place during the same time as our real world, or the year they were released.
Then B/W's time skip could, if you really wanted to stretch it, put the timeline back into sync with the real world, but then B2W2/XY mucks it up again.
And that's not even counting the fact that the time skip for Gen 2/4 to BW would have to be, what, 11 fucking years?
Face the music, this theory is retarded. The Pokémon world is absolutely not supposed to correlate to our real world dates. The games don't take place the year they were released.
There is absolutely nothing to suggest this, aside from the protagonist always having the latest Nintendo console in their room, which is immediately invalidated by the fact that some Gens happen at the same time, and remakes will update the consoles too. So Red would own a SNES in the same year as Brendan owning a WiiU, but you would have us believe these games take place in 1996.
