Dude, literally the first four of them were Japan, and they only recently started branching out into other parts of the world. Give it time; we'll get to explore Poke-fied versions of other areas of the world.

that's not the point. the point is that france, literally the worst country in the world, was the second foreign country after the us to be represented in pokemon. even if every other country is eventually featured in a pokemon game, it doesn't change the fact that france was one of the first.
