Like, actually set in the past, with massive cathedrals to worship whatever local deity pokemon, ability to trade items for items with NPCs, and you have to actually gear up/train your trainer for the possibility of combat against wild pokemon. pokeballs have not been invented, no pc storage, and you wind up involved in a holy war against an oppsing region or something. Would be cool af
