Absolutely nothing aside from a weak story and uninteresting post-game, Friend Safari was great though. I went in with a clean perspective going from Pokemon Pearl to Pokemon Y so everything was new and exciting and there was tons of "new" pokemon i didn't know.

Every gen has its flaws, gen 6 just needed a better plot and better difficulty but everything else was great. Sun and moon is great too, but some of the flaws I'm finding with it are the opposite, the world is rather small and not much to ,not too many new features, and online trading has been harshly nerfed.

It's easier to ask what went right because the list would be so short.
Some things that went wrong:

-Ugly ass game
-Retarded story
-Boring characters
-Too fucking easy the whole way through, not a single challenging moment
-Introduced the concept of mega evolution, a game-breaking and balance-destroying idea that irreparably damaged competitive pokemon battling

I could go on but I don't have time for it.

Well, the soundtrack was nowhere near as good as one would expect from a pokemon game, the world was boring, and there was a huge lack of challenge. Post game was the worst of all, there was next to nothing to do, which was a huge fucking let down after previous gens had more and more post game content every new iteration. HG/SS had the best fucking post game ever. RIP.
