I didnt say sm were totally bad what I meant it that they made the handholding worst then it already was in xy. SM is probably one of the best but its overworld gameplay is one of the worst.Also hoenn is fucking comfy emerald is the only game that did it right.

Remember when encountering new cities/routes hidden dungeons were fun?
now dungeons are fucking short. no puzzles.Nothing there to fucking explore man. I know this aint zelda but ever since gen6 gf been pandering way too much on the battling side and stopped focusing on the world of pokemon. the franchise has so much potential but because of shitty directors who think people dont give a fuck about playing the game and just want to battle is the cause of its downfall.

Gen2 was heading in the right direction but it felt incomplete. They couod have done much more with the ruins,real time events and the other part of kanto.
Hgss definitely did it much better but still not enough. After that in gen3/4 they introduced battle facilities and thats were shit started to go downhill. bw2 tried to implement missions which were a good idea but not very popular. in gen6 they scrapped post game completely.
