AAAA why's he so hard to catch?!1!

I just want him in a Moon Ball guys, but I just find it excruciatingly hard with
>moon ball decreased catch rate
>only two Moon balls
>no high level spore/hypnosis users
>killing himself with st00pid Thrash confusion
>burn/poison will kill him if not confusion

God save me from this endless cycle of pain
