It's not super over the top, and it comes off as 'mature yet still attractive'. This is very good compared to other champs bar maybe Blue, Alder, maybe Kukui. Stuff like Cynthia or Steven where they look like a standard shounen protagonist or good guy is cringey. I'd never guess Cynthia is interested in mythology or anything about her character, for instance.
Sadly, Diantha's artwork is lost in the chibi model, she has a bland personality, only appears once, and is pathetically easy. I wouldn't call her a reason of why I disliked Gen 6, but she certainly was part of some of the bigger problems of that generation.
