I love the Kahuna theme, but I do wish it incorporated some more of the beginning style into the song. It just does a huge turn and it's kinda offputting

Wait, it's that theme?! I actually liked this the first time I played the demo and it came on. It's kind of unfitting for the area it plays in but I really like it. The soundfont reminds me of Pokemon Battle Revolution. That piano is what especially makes me think of PBR.

The happy mush is awesome.

I think all the SM music is great with three exceptions:
1. The route music is generally forgettable, aside from the Poni Island one. And it should have had Day/Night versions like the towns.
2. No fucking trainer encounter themes. I think the OST had to have been rushed out.
3. The E4 theme sucks. S

It doesn't need to be edgy, it just needs to be tense, like I'm actually battling what is being portrayed as a serious opponent.

Right now it sounds like the fucking opening song to an anime. Where all the characters are being shown doing cute things around town and engaging in magical girl battles.

Music is something Pokémon depends on at times. I feel we need at least some kind of electronic influence and I'm glad they did it here. Guzma's theme reminded me of I am legion minus the rapping and just the beats. It would be nice to see some electronic artists remix these songs because they'd be a treat
