Lead with him 99% of the time and use him more as an offensive lead with parting shot support.

Basically the opponent doesn't really never expects what I'll do since he's pretty uncommon in OU, so I'll either Parting shot out of the way or set up, and the opponent never expects it to deal damage.
Darkium Z is there to replenish team mates' HPs with Z-Parting Shot, but I've found myself using Z-Dark Pulse (Black Hole Eclypse) a lot to take out key threaths, after one or two nasty plots it hits deceptively hard and OHKOs a lot of shit.
Thunderbolt fucks up Celesteela really well too.
