The more I think of it, the more BW really ramped up the badassery factor to turn tbe region into a slightly nightmarish hellscape. Monsters indeed.

Fucking Hoenn, those stupid legendaries both just passively destroy the region if they come up, not even with any particular goals of their own in mind. If Kyogre just gets beached for a day like a whale due to some ship's sonar fucking him up, every coastal city goes under while he hangs out.

It has to be Hoenn, based on the legendaries that just decide to want to blow up everything all the time for no reason.

Either that it Sinnoh, based on the routes being a lot more rugged than the roads of Unova or Alola. Johto is in a similar boat when it comes to dangerous routes
