It's ok. Gens 1-3 are basically 1 arc. Everything after except HGSS and ORAS are pretty self contained. If you read BW, be prepped for an agonizing wait for BW2 to update

I really liked Gen 1 and 2 but I can't for the life of me push through RSE. I just really hate Ruby. I want to continue but I dread having to read more.

Flucates in quality

RB good
Yellow decent
GS was really good
Crystal wasn't anything special but great climax after rejoining the group
RS top tier until the end
Emerald total shit
DPPt was top tier
HGSS is a rushed mess
BW is toppest tier
BW2 is currently going after hiatus. Lack-Two=worst but everyone seems good
XY didn't read yet, but finished
ORAS ok, but poorly paced. Zinnia gets fugged by Fug so that cool
SM is starting

FRLG was forgettable. I only realized that I just forgot it
