Both only have levitate.. Give them an ability like protean that only works on dark rock and psychic for lunatone, and fire rock and psychic for solrock. Give them immunity to the last type used. Idk how op that'd be but it'd be fun.

in solar flare form solrock's psychic/fire and in full moon form lunatone is psychic/fairy and they have enhanced sp atk or something

Give them evolutions where they get a body
Or make a superbaby that has higher stats than both and can only be begotten by a lunatone mating with a solrock of an opposite nature. It could be like a little galaxy or something.

Simple, you buff their types. Psychic now resists and is super effective to Fairy, while Rock now also resists itself.
