Fangames never grab my attention, the last I played was shinygold because Gold and Crystal were my favourite games and HGSS weren't even being talked about being made.
The novelty of fangames; especially Pokémon ones; wear off really quickly when you realise:
"Playing this game is meaningless since I won't be able to transfer up, tourneyfag or anything else on an official capacity."
