They were well made remakes with more content added than prior remakes. Your definition of fun doesn't disprove that.

It's also a total meme to shit on the last released game before current. Same happened with XY, BW2, BW etc

It's the same feeling of playing HG/SS: Same old stuff with updated graphics and extra story stuff + the chance to use the current gen in an old gen based game.

It's a nice remake. I got kinda bored to play, though, I just did it for the extra mega evos that are not in XY.
