I presume so, since half the time I see Assault Vest it's on a Pokemon that the trainer has a personal preference for but isn't necessarily the strongest. Still, are ya? Cause my first instinct is to say "Don't use Wigglytuff", but if you're committed to using him I'll write up some suggestions.
Alola Marowak, Toxapex, and your pick of any good Dragon type is where I'd start on team composition. Can't go wrong with Mimikyu or a pure Ghost Pokemon either.
Some folks might disagree with me on Toxapex and say Wigglytuff needs a pure offensive team and that a defensive pokemon is wasting time, but Wiggly won't be as tanky as you want it to be, even with the Assault Vest.
